Eastern Kentucky University’s women’s golf team finished in eighth place at the 2026 Atlantic Sun Conference Championship, moving up two spots on April 19.
The event featured 12 teams and was held at Dothan Country Club in Dothan, Alabama, on a par-72 course measuring 6,256 yards. The Colonels posted a final round score of 299 for a three-day total of 912. This effort allowed them to surpass Bellarmine and North Alabama in the standings.
North Florida won the championship with a score of 844, finishing well ahead of Florida Gulf Coast and Stetson, who tied for second with scores of 871. Central Arkansas took fourth place with an overall score of 883, while Lipscomb rounded out the top five at 888. Austin Peay (897) and West Georgia (911) placed sixth and seventh respectively.
Sophomore Karra Tucker led Eastern Kentucky in the final round by shooting an even-par score of 72. Tucker began her round on hole No.10 and recorded four birdies during her play. She finished tied for 26th overall with teammate Claira Ramsey Eden; both players ended with totals of 227 over three rounds. Eden’s performance included an eagle on the par-4 No.2 hole and a birdie on her last hole to help secure EKU’s position.
Other contributors included Imogen Jessen (233), who finished in 41st place, Lanie Campbell (234) one shot behind in 42nd place, Mary Keene Marrs (157), who played two rounds to tie for 59th overall, and Maddi-Jo Benton who played only the final round as substitute scoring a round of 78 to finish in sixty-first place.
The results reflect strong individual performances that contributed to Eastern Kentucky’s advancement during the championship.
