Latonia – Connie Jean Harris, aged 71, of Latonia, passed away on July 28, 2025, at her home. Born on January 12, 1954, in Covington to the late Earl and Maxine Bone Marksberry, Connie’s life was characterized by dedication, love, and cherished family moments.
Professionally, Connie served as a waitress at Skyline Chili in Covington for over 21 years, sharing her warmth and care with countless patrons. On June 10, 1972, she married Michael E. Harris, who survives her. Connie is also survived by her daughters Jennifer, Amanda, and Kelly Harris (Chris); three grandchildren, Corbin, Keaton, and Juliana Harris; as well as her great-grandchild, Palmer Harris. Additionally, she is survived by her siblings Billy Marksberry, Ronnie Marksberry, and Angela Reis, along with many nieces and nephews.
Connie’s spirit lives on through her family, whose love she treasured deeply. She will be forever remembered for her dedication to her work, her commitment to her loved ones, and the joy she brought to those around her.
Funeral services for Connie Jean Harris will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025, at 1 PM at Floral Hills Funeral Home, Chapel A, with visitation from 11 AM to 1 PM. The burial will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Floral Hills is privileged to support and serve the Harris family during this time of remembrance.
