Among the upcoming events is a family-oriented adoration night titled “Teach me to pray” at Holy Trinity Church on April 22, beginning with dinner at 5:30 p.m., followed by adoration. St. Margaret Mary Church will hold a Special Disciples of Jesus Mass for special-needs families on April 19 at 3 p.m., including a light reception afterward. Young Catholic Professionals will host a “Holy and Happy Hour” event starting with Holy Hour at St. Agnes on April 21, followed by social time at a nearby restaurant.
Other activities include retreats such as “Finding and Losing Ourselves in Art with Thomas Merton,” led by Mark Meade from May 29-31; meetings like the St. Serra Club luncheon featuring Sister of Providence Nancy Reynolds; blood drives organized by the American Red Cross; fundraising efforts for Catholic Charities through Churchill Downs’ “WinsDay”; and volunteer recruitment for refugee assistance programs.
The Archdiocese also offers classes such as an “Overview of the Mass” session in Bardstown on April 22 and online enrichment courses through St. Bernadette Church’s Adult Christian Enrichment Program. Bible studies continue weekly at St. Rita Church led by Father Joe Rankin, focusing on scriptural themes relevant to faith formation.
