Walton, Kentucky – Carol Ann Turk, 72, of Walton, Kentucky, peacefully passed away on August 5, 2025. Born on October 24, 1952, in Port Lavaca, Texas, to the late Raymond and Dorothy Smith, Carol devoted over 30 years of her life to nursing. Demonstrating compassion, patience, and grace, she selflessly cared for others, exemplifying the true essence of a caregiver.

Carol was the heart of her family, always prioritizing the needs of her loved ones above all else. She is preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Harold Preston Turk; her parents; and her sister, Martha Jean Tapley. Carol is survived by her son Philip Turk (Greg Nardini), daughter Leslie Ward (Kyle), brother Mark Raymond Smith (Lee), and grandchildren Jackson and Caroline. She was a cherished aunt to Clayton, Clinton, Carolynn, and Craig. Carol found joy in life’s simple pleasures, from tending to her garden and enjoying quiet moments with her dogs, particularly her beloved Terry, to the precious times spent with her grandchildren.

Known for her gentle spirit, quiet strength, and warm smiles, Carol possessed a comforting presence that resonated with all who knew her. Her exceptional listening skills, unwavering friendship, and lifelong love of horses were at the core of her being.

In honor of Carol’s memory, memorial contributions may be made to the Lung Cancer Foundation or the Alzheimer’s Foundation.

A visitation will take place on Friday, August 8th, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Linnemann Funeral Homes in Erlanger, Kentucky. Carol will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all whose lives she touched.
