Beloved local entrepreneur and philanthropist, Martin Alan “Marty” Meyer, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Marty, 73, was born on July 6, 1952, in Covington, Kentucky, to Stephen and Lillie Meyer. A graduate of Bellevue High School, Marty married his high school sweetheart, Cathy, in 1971, and together they raised four children.

Known for his generous spirit, endless stories, and community involvement, Marty was the founder and President of M&M Service, Inc./MidValley Supply. He made a significant impact in the Petroleum Equipment Industry and served on numerous boards, including Holly Hill Children’s Services and Shriner’s Hospital for Children. A man of faith and family, Marty’s legacy transcended his professional success and civic contributions. He was revered as a kind-hearted and proud family man.

Marty is survived by his wife of 54 years Cathy (Sowers) Meyer; children Mickey (Michelle) Meyer, Sherrie (Rob) Keller, Robert (April) Meyer, and David (Missy) Meyer; grandchildren Matthew, Mason, Olivia, Ryan, Reed, Andersen, Liam, Lillie, Londyn, Seth, and Evan; great-grandchildren Mazie and Myles; brother James Meyer; sisters Carolyn Colegate, Patsy Boughner, and Linda Saunders; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with the Funeral Service following at 12:00 p.m., Thursday, August 7th at Main Street Baptist Church in Alexandria, KY. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Southgate. Marty’s memory will live on through the generous donations made to Shriner’s Hospital for Children, Alzheimer’s Association, or Holly Hill Children’s Services.

Marty’s legacy will endure through his dedication to family, community, and service, leaving an indelible mark on all those who knew him.
