FRANKFORT, Ky. – Attorney General Daniel Cameron announced today that an investigation conducted by his Office of Medicaid Fraud and Abuse Control has led to the guilty plea of Dana Nagy, 51, of Owensboro.
On November 8, 2023, Dana Nagy appeared before the Daviess County Circuit Court where she pleaded guilty to one count of a Criminal Attempt to Devise or Engage in a Scheme to Defraud the Kentucky Medical Assistance Program (KMAP) over $1000 (Class A Misdemeanor). She was sentenced to 12 months in jail, suspended for a period of 2 years and ordered to pay restitution of $3,715.97 to the KMAP.
Assistant Attorney General Lindon Gullett prosecuted the case before the Daviess County Circuit Court on behalf of the Commonwealth.

The Kentucky Attorney General’s Office of Medicaid Fraud and Abuse Control receives 75 percent of its funding from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services under a grant award totaling $6,650,000 for the federal fiscal year (FY) 2024. 25 percent of that grant, totaling $1,662,500 for FY 2024, is funded by the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
