Ancel H. Baxley, 74, of Walton, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2025, at Saint Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, Kentucky, surrounded by his loving family. Born on January 15, 1951, in Harlan, Kentucky, Ancel was a dedicated plumber who spent years serving others with care and skill, leaving a lasting impact on those he helped.

A devoted family man, Ancel is survived by his beloved wife, Katherine E. Baker Baxley, three children, ten grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and sister Ann Smith. Known for his wisdom and guidance, Ancel nurtured strong family bonds and cherished his dog, Uma, as a loyal companion. A member of the First Baptist Church of Covington, Ancel’s faith and kindness touched many lives.

Preceded in death by his parents and son, James Baxley, Ancel’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved him. A visitation and Celebration of Life will be held on August 28, 2025, at Floral Hills Funeral Home in Taylor Mill, Kentucky.

Memorial contributions can be made to the First Baptist Church of Covington or the University of Kentucky Transplant Center in honor of Ancel H. Baxley. Ancel will be remembered for his love, dedication, and joyful moments shared with those he held dear.
